CWG Village Pictures
So, if you were wondering why oh why did the international athletes make such a big hullah over the accommodation, well here's some proof. Courtesy of BBC Sport Website, check out this link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/commonwealth_games/delhi_2010/9025907.stm to see for yourself. It's shocking to say the least. I mean, how dare the organizers even think of putting up renowned athletes in such pitiable conditions! If the corruption charges and the rains and the shoddy work being demonstrated as bridge collapses or false ceiling breakdowns were not enough, this is simply atrocious! How could the organizers even expect people, athlete or no athlete, live in such conditions!?! The entire nation has been brought down on its knees, humiliated in front of the entire world. Disgraceful! The Delhi 2010 CWG will always be remembered for this, and it will take us a long time as citizens of this country to forget this shameful act, forcefully thrust on us to swallow.
As a by the way thought, I would really like to know what Mr. Aamir Khan has to say about this, mainly because he so proudly goes about saying "Atithi Devo Bhavah" in advertisements. Well, are you listening Mr Khan?

After I wrote this post, I came across some albums and pictures posted by the Wales contingent at CWG - 2010. The link in Facebook is this. The pictures actually show the good part of the Games, and it does look quite nice. As citizens, it is our duty to highlight the poor work but also to appreciate the good stuff that is in there. So do take a look at these pictures too!
